Greensboro, NC – June 22, 2012 – Chip Hymiller, CFP®, a principal with the Raleigh based financial planning firm, Beacon Financial Strategies, spoke at the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants’ 2012 Emerging Leaders Conference.
In his presentation, “Connecting the Dots with Employee Benefits,” Chip provided the group, consisting of CPAs under the age of 35, with financial planning considerations when making decisions related to their employee benefits.
“I was thrilled and honored to be approached by the NC Association of CPAs to address this statewide group of young and influential CPAs,” said Hymiller. “I realized early on in my career how important it is for young people to make sound financial decisions. Because the Emerging Leaders Conference is focused on CPAs under the age of 35, I knew that my presentation could provide valuable insight to those in attendance.”
In his discussion, Hymiller educated the group on factors to consider when deciding on health, life and disability insurance coverage. In addition, he provided the group with ideas about investing money for short, intermediate and long term goals. He concluded his session by discussing various personal financial planning tools, calculators and other resources that could be beneficial when making financial planning decisions.
