Erin Campbell, CPA/PFS, CFP®, a financial planning expert with the Raleigh-based Beacon Financial Strategies, has recently been awarded the Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) Credential by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
The PFS Credential, established in 1987 by the AICPA, is granted to qualified CPAs with considerable professional experience in financial planning. CPA/PFS credential holders are consistently ranked among the most qualified financial planners in the marketplace.
Erin Campbell met the requirements to earn the PFS credential, which include passing a rigorous technical exam covering personal financial planning topics, demonstrating more than 1,400 hours of business experience during the past five years as well as completing life-long learning and education activities. The PFS Credential is granted exclusively to CPAs who are members in good standing of the AICPA which binds them to the AICPA Code of Professional Conduct. CPAs who have earned the PFS Credential must be recertified every three years to maintain the credential.
“Given the nature of the requirements to earn the PFS credential, we are proud of Erin’s accomplishment” said Chip Hymiller, CFP®, a principal with Beacon Financial Strategies. “It is a true testament to her commitment and that of Beacon Financial Strategies to provide comprehensive and expert financial planning services to our clients.”
